We met in Northampton, MA for brunch and then strolled around the rest of the town, window-shopping along the main street. The picture above was taken at a used book store where we had fun browsing through all of the cookbooks and other books. I found some really interesting-looking books in the history section about life in the mid-19th century. Maybe some of the tidbits about old-fashioned living will even inspire a blog post or two in the future 🙂
We also went to a specialty foods store nearby and spent a while admiring all of the exotic pantry items and other delicacies. (I barely restrained myself from buying the entire chocolate section – but only just barely!)
Later in the afternoon, it started to rain, so we stopped at a cozy (GMO-free!) cafe and sipped coffee and tea while we talked about real food, blogging, etc.
It was so much fun getting to know Vanessa and Craig, being able to share ideas with each other, and interacting with each other in “real life” rather than just online. And it was great to be able to use phrases like “grass-fed butter” and “GMO-free” without someone looking at me like I’ve gone crazy!
All in all, it was quite an enjoyable and inspiring day!
