July always seems like the true summer month. June is the beginning of summer, August is when summer starts to wind down, but in July, summer is here to the fullest.

Of all of the great things about July, I think my absolute most favorite is berry picking! This year I went all out and picked just about every berry I could find – blueberries, raspberries, gooseberries, and red and black currants!

Nothing’s better in summer time than  picking a ripe berry right off the bush and popping it into your mouth 🙂 And then making jam. Lots and lots of homemade jam!
